RadAlert 50
The RadAlert 50 is our newest detector in a low profile design. This affordable radiation detector with a sensitivity from 2 - 1000 mR/hr. The unit can operate independent of its remote slave and thus can be powered directly from the slave via a 30 meter connection cable or directly from a nearby AC outlet. When radiation exceeds a set threshold, that can be manually adjusted via an adjustment potentiometer on the side, the warning red LED lights flash in alternating sequence. If the slave unit is connected an identical set of red LED lights flash. The slave unit also contains a battery backup and an audible buzzer which can be turned on or off by a small switch on the side. The buzzer can also have its volume adjusted by adjustment of a small potentiometer. Since the batteries for the RadAlert 50 are located inside the slave unit there is no need to mount a separate battery pack on the same wall.
